Gavroche's face brightens in realization for a moment. "Oh! The dog!"
Scout scrunches his face in confusion and looks to Gavroche.
"The little white and fluffy dog. I remember seeing it follow around Lamb like a shadow when he was with Birdy or Mama Ember. It's not a fairy, and it's not a live or dead dog, but it likes him a lot." Gavroche gives a big shrug and a half-smile. "If a dream dog likes someone so much, they can't be all bad."
Scout seems skeptical, but less hostile to the idea. Yes, indeed, strange not-fae not-living not-dead animals liking a person speaks to their characters.
"Does it follow him around 'cuz he's kind to it?" Scout asks, voice emphasizing 'kind' just a touch.
"Dunno. Birdy would know, though." Gavroche grins at Achilles, swinging his legs a little harder with his cheer. "She's like you said--not nice, but kind."
